Point Break + Fireblade = Pure Fun!

I rode the Fireblade today down the trail and had so much fun.  The crowd was light and the sets were about waist to chest high. I had my best session yet with my new 5`9!  The board just flows so well at the points, with ample speed to get you through slow sections and now that I have my fins dialed its nice and loose on the turns. My board is set up with the ZX boxes, which allow for like a quarter inch of movement forward or back.  Today I  rode the board as a thruster with the side fins all the way back and the midddle fin all the way up. This loosened  the board up just a little and still allowed me the right amount of drive. I cant wait to get it back in the water…

Here are some more shots of I took of Cole over the weekend with the 6`1 Aviso Fireblade.

Cole finished shaping the board last week and after making sure that it passed all his inspections he handed it over to me so that it could be taken up to the factory to begin tooling this week.  Cole is such a perfectionist that he shaped the board multiple times, and spent countless hours fine tuning it to pass even his rigorous standards.

The finished product looks truly amazing, I am so proud that we are going to be offering the complete line of Fireblades before the holidays! Check back soon for the first 6`1 in Aviso Technology…

The tide is super high around town this morning, but conditions are clean, so it could be fun in a little bit. There is a bit of NW windswell leftover, tide just needs to drop a little. Check back later for more shots of the new 6`1 Fireblade (Area 51)…

Cole finishing up the 6`1 Fireblade

Here are a few shots I took today of Cole finishing off the 6`1 Aviso Fireblade!  As always Cole has been putting his heart and soul into the board, shaping and then reshaping  it numerous times until he has the perfect model to convert to Aviso Technology.  After that its off to the glasser then straight to the factory to begin the tooling process.  We could be looking at a finished product in a little over two weeks if everything goes smoothly. Check back soon for more…
