Life in Mexico

The pace of life is so much different down in Mexico compared to things here in the States. Obviously there are positive and negative effects of this, but it is really nice to slow down a little bit and focus on some of the more basic aspects of being on this planet. When I am down in Mexico I eat, surf, hang out with friends and sleep. When it comes down to it what else is is more important? Bills? Cellphone? Email? I think not…

Shaking off some writers block…

I have been experiencing a little case of writers block lately since I have been back in town but I will be posting a lot more frequently moving forward. Today was small again here in San Clemente and you can really start to feel autumn setting in. We might get a little late season tropical swell next week though. Hurricane Hillary, which is currently spinning off of Mainland, should be entering our swell window late tomorrow so we might get some fun waves by the middle of the week.

Here are a few more shots of me riding my 5`7 Aviso Grasshopper down in Mexico last week that I just downloaded. I ended up having some of my best sessions of the whole trip on this board, I am so glad that I brought it! Please check back soon for more photos of my recent trip, and other happenings in the the Aviso world…

Back in San Clemente!

Just got back in town after a few epic weeks down south in Mainland Mexico. It was an amazing trip filled with good waves, good times and great friends! I will post a bunch of pictures from the trip this week once I get settled in. Below is my favorite shot from the trip, taken at a random beach break south of Puerto by my friend Ian. I am riding my 5`7 Aviso Grasshopper designed by Cole Simler…

Lost in Mexico

Right now I am sitting in my friends house up in the hills watching the wind blow offshore and dreaming about where we are going to surf today. The dog is lounging and the french toast is cooking. Should be in the 80 degree water within the hour. Life is good. Have not been able to download any pictures to post yet but I will do so shortly. For now here is a shot off Naki`s blog of him back home in Hawaii on the Aviso Canvas MNR!

Swell continues to pound coast!

The waves were going off again here in San Clemente today! Most spots were so big that they were a bit walled up but there were some good ones to be had if you  were in the right spot.  I think it was some of the most powerful swell that I have ever surfed here in town. Here is a quick shot from way out in the bay at. Uppers this morning, but it does not even do it justice. Also here are a couple of the boards I am bringing to Mexico with me tomorrow, I love how the Aviso boards look brand new after months of riding them!
