Have a great weekend!

Here is a quick one for Friday. The waves have been super fun and should continue through the weekend and over the next week or so. Also with the water starting to warm up it is finally starting to feel like summer here on the west coast!

Great stick for Summer!

Here is a shot of the 5`5 Doc Aviso from a trip down to Mainland a while back. This is another great board for when you want to drop a few inches off your board so it will fit better on the wave, but still want the hidden volume to allow you to easily catch waves. This board excels in surf from 2-4 feet but can be ridden in a wider range of surf as well. Definitely a great board for this summer!

The Slab Hunter

Love this shot of Ian Battrick on his 6`1 Doc Aviso that I found today online. Ian is a rare breed of surfer who can endure extreme conditions over an extended period of time in order to score fickle slabs with nobody around. His reward however, is evident in some of the pictures like this one below that I come across from time to time. Check out his site LunaSurf for more on his travels…

Timmy Turner in Indo

Hope you are all having a good week out there so far. Waves have been kind of small the last few days but there were some fun windows of surf if you could work around the tide. Check out this shot our man Dave Woods forwarded me earlier of Timmy Turner riding his 6`8 DJ Aviso Semi Gun over in Indo. Reminds me that I need to start planning a trip here and get back on the road. Where are you going this Summer?

Back in the day

Here is a random old shot that I came across today of Christian and Mikey checking out a couple of boards with friends. Thats Chrisitans trusty 5`0 Cole Aviso in the corner and I think Mikey has the 9`1 Christian Wach Aviso by Herbie Fletcher. Seems like just yesterday…

The 5`5 is back in action!

Here is a another new shot my friend David just sent me of him riding the 5`5 Lost Aviso RNF. The Round Nose Fish is a board that will always be a part of my quiver, I absolutely love this model. This is a board that I would recommend riding around 4-6 inches shorter than your standard short board. Hope you all had a great weekend out there, thanks for checking in!

David Santiago on his Cole DT Aviso

Here are a few shots my friend David sent to me recently from one of the recent south swells.  He is riding his 6`0 Cole Diamond Tail, which is one of my favorite short boards that we have in our lineup. I would recommend it for guys under like 165 pounds or so. Sick shots buddy!

South swells keep coming!

Looks like we are going to have a fun run of south swell for the rest of the week! It started picking up around town today with inconsistent but fun sets at most spots. The points were looking good but I think everyone from San Diego to Santa Barbara heard about the swell. I surfed the beaches which were a little walled up at times but still a few barrels to be had. I rode my 5`7 Aviso Grasshopper by Cole and fell back in love with it on my first wave, cant wait to ride it again in the morning…
