I just checked Lowers a few minutes ago and it looks like the swell has definitely dropped off a little from the weekend. It still looks fun out there though, even with a light south wind blowing, so get out there if you can. Hope you all had a great weekend and please check back later today for more!
Here are a few fresh shots from Naki-san, who is back over in Hawaii right now scoring some of the south swell that has been running the last few days. He told me a crazy story about getting caught inside after pulling in on a heavy one, and taking a few set waves on the head. I guess he thought for sure he had broken his board but was amazed to find that the board did not even have a ding on it. For sure if it was a foam board the thing would have been done he said. Lucky for him he was on his Aviso!
Another larger round of south swell filled in this evening and the June Gloom gave way for a few hours before dark as well. I am glad the weekend is finally here and the surf is an added bonus to say the least. Have a great weekend out there and enjoy yourselves!
There was a little south swell running today but the tide was super drained out in the morning. Things are looking good for the next few days with a couple little swells that should continue through the weekend.
