5`1 BD3 and 5`5 RNF at Rincon…

Here are the rest of the shots from Rincon last week. Things are looking good for the west coast this week. Looks like we should have swell coming in from pretty much every direction and possible offshore winds as well.  Might be time to start faking that cough at work and take a couple of those sick days you have saved up (if your still working that is)…

Looking up the point at Rincon. Its hard to tell but there is a set rolling in about 500 yards up the beach...

I took this picture about 3/4 of the way up the point. Check out the wave rolling through out the back.

West coast goes off, Derek on the New Toy

I am up in Santa Barbara tonight after surfing Rincon all day!  From what I hear the waves were going off up and down the coast today.  I ended up charging north to try and score some of the swell at the Queen of the Coast, and was really glad that I did.  As the tide dropped throughout the day the waves got better and better, and I surfed until I could barely paddle or run back up the point.  I ran into Nate Yeomans, Killian Garland, the G boys (Pat, Dane, and Tanner) and even saw the man himself, Mr. Tom Curren.

I need to download some pics when I get home  so please come back soon and check out the pics from today and whatever happens tomorrow. For now check out this pic of Derek Bockelman on the 5`9 Doc new Toy in Aviso Tech..

Phil gets the shot on his 6`2 Doc Aviso

Check out this shot of Phil Goodrich at Lagundri Bay (Nias) on his 6`2 Doc Aviso in the new 2009 Surfer Photo Annual.  I am so stoked for Phil, he has put in some serious time  surfing Nias, and really immersed himself in the lifestyle in order to do so.  For all you who dont know Phil is an underground barrel guru from the east coast who also happens to be one of the most talented artists that I have ever seen. Grab a copy of the new Surfer Photo Annual and check out the article he penned as well…
