I cant believe that it is August 1st already tomorrow! My how time flies…
Waves should be pretty small tomorrow so pull out your trunkboard or fish and go grovel a little. The water in South OC is is a bath-like 75 degrees, get out there and enjoy it!
Stay focused when the waves are small, you never know what is around the corner...
Here are some shots of the plug for the Aviso NRSS designed by Doc Lausch. I saw the board for the first time yesterday and was blown away. It should be ready in about a month. Check back soon for more…
Donavon giving the board his blessing
You have never seen anything like this, trust me its out of this world!
Doc showing off his masterpiece!
Here are a few shots of Christian riding his trusty 10`0 Aviso in Huntington Beach over the weekend. Christian surfed a stacked heat on Saturday and ended up coming third to Joel Tudor and Herbie Fletcher. Hopefully next year the waves will be a little more lined up and Christian will really have a chance to show off his freakish noseriding skills. Anyway here are a few pics thanks to our friend Taro…
The waves were solid all weekend!

I think this one is called Blue Steel
Laying his 10`0 on rail with style and grace
Christian fully committed as always, pushing through the foam
I was not able to make it down to SD this past weekend for the RSSS #2 but thanks to Dave Woods here are some pictures and a summary of what went down…
Best surf ever for the Revolt Summer Surf Series!
As we all well know that the surf lately in SoCal has been..well hopefully you all well know by now! Amazing contests up and and down the coast, to showcase some amazing talent, but the true amazement was Mother Nature blessing us all with some great surf. The 2nd installment of the four part series, RSSS’s third annual event went off with great surf, and some pretty amazing performances to boot as well!
Dustin Cuizon, Volcom team rider showed up and walked away with a amazing 5’5 Aviso Lost…round nose fish. If any one of you have seen the new Lost 5’5 Redux video, you’ll know Dustin will put his to the test, like the rest of the Aviso “test pilots” on board. Justin McBride showed up to boost as well, coming in second, and winning “the huge air of the day” award as well. Rounding out the pro-am, as always in a battle, Eric “McAir” McHenry came in third, with our good buddy and Aviso Cole 5’0 trunk board winner from last year in fourth place, Gavin Sutherland.
Thanks again to all the sponsors, and to all the competitors who showed up and represented. Of course a huge ”shaka” to the hundreds of fans who line the beautiful Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach to witness pretty much, the best surf contest ever held at the famed local! Check in next month on August 22nd to see who will walk away with another Aviso Surfboard~The Worlds Leader in Carbon Fiber Surfboard Technology!

The girls stepped up to the challenge as well at the Revolt Surf Series!
Even the groms came down at put on a show!
The waves have been going off up and down the West Coast since Friday. Here are a few pictures that I snapped off over the last few days in and around San Clemente. The swell has dropped off a lot but there are still some head high sets coming through, with really clean conditions, so get out there and take advantage before its all gone!
SC doing its best Baja Malibu impersonation...
Another sick left coming in down the way... Its hard to tell how big it is but the buoys were reading 5.6 feet at 20 seconds!
State Park was doing its thing as well. When I looked down the beach and saw this barrel I had to pinch myself to remember where I was!
It was so big Friday night that even Lowers was closing out on some of the sets. Right after I took this shot, we ran around the corner to Church and scored some of the longest waves I have ever surfed down there. There were 10-15 wave sets coming through and just cleaning people up!
Sunday morning perfection down at the beach breaks! The swell dropped off a bit but it was still wedging!
I took this pic a few hours ago down at state. Still a few good sets coming through so get out there!
Here are a few shots of Christian on the 10`0 CJ Nelson Aviso over in Noosa. Come check out his act in HB this weekend at the Corona Noserider Invitational…
Sea Walk on the tip and in the barrel!
Christian has style to spare... Here is another beautiful shot on his Aviso Noserider!
Hey everyone! I ended up taking last week off for my birthday but starting today we are back in action. There is a ton of stuff going on right now so there should not be any shortage of stuff to write about in the coming weeks. As I am sure you all have heard we are suppose to get slammed in the next few days by a huge south swell that mowed through Tahiti earlier this week. Luckily we have had some really fun days over the past week or two to give us a bit of a warm up! Here are a few shots from this morning and over the last few days…
The beachbreaks have been super clean over the last few days...
My new 5`1 Cole BD3, pretty much the best birthday present in the world!
My friend Trevor and I after another fun session. Trevor has been riding the 5`5 RNF lately and told me "I think I finally found a board to take me to the next level..."
Also this weekend is the US Open up in HB where Sea Walk will be competing in the Corona Noserider Invitational, as well as the second stop of the REvolt Surf Series at the Crystal pier in PB. If you are going to be in the area of either event be sure and come check it out. If the swell hits as forecast, things could get really interesting!
Here are a few shots that Taro snapped off the other day of Naki, Christian and I riding the 5`5 New Toy.
It was so fun down at the beach breaks this week! Here I am tucking into a little one on the new 5`5...
Christian attacking on the 5`5 New Toy!
Naki gliding on a nice left...
The water warmed up and the waves were wedging!
I have had my 5`5 set up as a quad lately and just love it! It drives really well and is super loose, especially backside!!
Naki came into town yesterday just in time to score some super fun south swell down at our favorite beach break here in town! Today is a little smaller than yesterday but still decent size and really fun. Sick left barrels and a few right wedges mixed in as well.
Sea Walk and Mikey DeTemple even showed up and joined us for a bit. Also I finally got a chance to take my new water housing out! Its super hard to get in the right spot but i cant wait to nail a good shot with it. Here are a few shots I snapped off yesterday in the water and on land, also check back later for more…
My new water housing setup for my G10
Sea Walk coming around the corner on the 5`5 Aviso New Toy!
Sea Walk driving in a foamy little one on the New Toy. Christian was very impressed with how easy the board paddled into waves and how loose it was!
Naki-san! Always a pleasure to surf with!!
Mikey D and Sea Walk hosing around in the yard...
The swell dropped off a lot from yesterday, so if you have something important to do today, I would recommend getting it done this morning and waiting for the tide to come back up a bit. Or you could always go home and watch MJ`s memorial service, its on pretty much every channel right now…
Low tide, south wind, and a drop in swell... Better off waiting until later
Usually I try and save my rants for after hours, but are you freaking kidding me with all of this MJ hype? Put down the Kool-Aid everyone, and remember the last 20 years of freakish behavior. Its a sad story, but please quit acting like the guy was a saint. Im tired of hearing that crap on the radio and dont want to see anymore signs around town telling MJ to “moonwalk to heaven”, just let the guy rest in peace…
