Cwach in the new issue of “On the Board”…

Christian Wach stopped by today and dropped off the new issue of On the Board.  He has a beautiful article inside detailing one of his recent trips to surf Canada, and even scored the cover of the magazine!  Here are a couple of the shots that were ran as well as a few shots of our man Cwach messing around…

This is obviously going to be my last post of the year so I just wanted to take a minute to wish you all a wonderful new year and I hope that all of your dreams and wishes come true this next year!  Take care out there and be safe!

A cure for the small day blues…

It finally warmed up a bit the last few days here in San Clemente, but the waves have been horrible!  Today I could not take it anymore so I busted out the 9`8 Infinity Aviso SUP for a quick little mission down to San O to try and clear away my blues…

The beach was packed with people enjoying some much needed sunshine to help ease the pain of going back to work/school next week.  As usual I had a blast on my quad SUP and was stoked to be able to ride a few waves and get my hair wet:) As I sit here now typing this and wiping the salt crust from my eyes it makes me appreciate having the right boards in my quiver so that I can enjoy myself on any given day, especially when the conditions are perfect but the waves are not!

Hope you all have a great day and go pull out something funky from the quiver and get wet…

Monday in SC

I stopped by and spent some time today with Cole talking about some new boards he is working on and checking out his 5`2 AVISO BD3!  Cole is one of the most amazing shapers that I have had a chance to work with and it is always a pleasure when I get to spend some time hanging out around the shop and absorb some knowledge. Later that day we went down to SC municipal golf course and smashed a couple balls before it got dark since the waves were crap!  It was a great way to end another beautiful day in San Clemente!!

Stormy Monday in San Clemente

Well we got more rain today than we did all year last year.  After posting up in the house all day getting some work done I ran down to the pier for an hour or two before dark and got some some stormy wind swell with a couple of the boys.  Dave Lavato and Nick Valverde were holding it down out there on there Aviso`s, and here are a few shots my friend Matt Robertson clicked off before he split..
